The Little Fighters Cancer Trust draws it’s inspiration from children who have no choice but to battle Cancer daily and the trials and tribulations their families face. From starting out as a local charity in the Drakenstein area, we have grown exponentially and due to the great demand for support country wide, are now established as a national Childhood Cancer Charity.
Many of the Families we support have only one breadwinner as one of the parents had to leave their employment to care for their child permanently. There are also numerous single parent families which we support. Families loose their homes, their vehicles and their hope due to mounting medical expenses. Some of the families we support cannot afford daily necessities such as food, water and electricity,
clothing or transport because the medical expense associated with their Child’s Cancer receives priority.
It is of paramount importance to support these families in their everyday lives as there is a huge gap in the system in South Africa concerning care and support for families of Children with Cancer. This is one of the reasons why the Little Fighters Cancer Trust is doing everything possible with our limited resources to raise Awareness for Childhood Cancer.
Please feel free to join our facebook support page where daily updates on the Little Fighters are posted.
We also have a website where you are able to learn more about our Little Fighters journey’s with Child-
hood Cancer and about the workings of the Trust. We have a dedicated youtube channel with videos of some of our Little Fighters, we blog, we tweet, we have a dedicated sms line for donating and we have a monthly newsletter. Below are links which you are welcome to follow and see what we are about.

HILLCREST AIDS CENTRE
The Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust is a faith-based ministry that has grown to become a multi-faceted HIV/AIDS project. This ministry attempts to address the impact of the devastating HIV/AIDS pandemic in a practical and holistic way. The mission of the organization is and always has been to show unconditional love to all infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in a practical way.
All aspects of the HACT project have arisen out of an observed need. That is, where a need has been witnessed, a plan has been put in place to attempt to meet the need in a way that uplifts and empowers, rather than judges and demoralises.
HACT is a registered Trust and non-profit organization and all trustees are volunteers from the professional sector. The Trust has an external audit annually, and has earned itself a credible track record over the years for financial accountability.

KITTEN ACTION is a project of the animal rights group, JUSTICE for ANIMALS, which was launched in 1997 to rescue abandoned and unwanted kittens and to care for them until they are old enough to go to permanent homes.
Scores of unwanted or abandoned kittens, who would otherwise be put down or die cruel deaths are saved every year by Kitten Action, the only organization in Durban that takes in kittens from as young as a few hours old and bottle-feeds them. More importantly, it finds homes for them and ensures that they are sterilized before reaching six months of age.
Since it started in 1997, Kitten Action has homed more than two thousand kittens. But it is not only concerned with the babies. Adult cats are also given the opportunity of a better life.
